I'm Heather - a brand and portrait photographer based just North of Indianapolis, drawn to genuine connection, beautiful light, and storytelling that feels natural, effortless and true.
Photography has been a part of my life for over a decade, taking me across seven states and introducing me to incredible people and stories along the way.
What started with families and seniors naturally evolved into a passion for helping brands tell their stories visually, creating imagery that feels elevated, intentional and deeply personal.
Today, my work blends both sides of what I love most: documenting meaningful seasons of life and helping creative businesses show up with confidence, authenticity and heart.

My Family
My little sister took these photos for us in the mountains where I grew up, and they mean everything to me: family, roots, story, and the kind of beautiful chaos that feels like home. With five kids and one Goldendoodle in the mix, there’s never a quiet moment, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. These are my people, my why, and the heart behind so much of what I love to photograph.
Travel
Traveling is one of my greatest passions, and something I’m very intentional about. I’ve lived in eight different states and explored each one deeply. Always drawn to new places, people, and stories. I love meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, and embracing fresh ideas. There’s something about seeing the world from a new perspective that reminds me how connected we all are.
Connection
Light
My longest friendship is with my identical twin. We’re walking through the same season of life, raising kids the same ages, swapping stories, and still finishing each other’s sentences. She reminds me daily how much I value real connection, the kind that lasts, grows, and keeps you grounded no matter where life takes you.
I’ve always been drawn to light, how it wraps around a face, dances through trees, or spills into a kitchen at just the right moment. My husband proposed at sunrise because he knows how much I love it. My favorite time to photograph is early morning or golden hour, when literaly everything feels beautiful.
Creating
Community
I love dreaming up new ideas and figuring out how to make them real. Whether it’s a DIY home project, a fresh garden bed, or a brand shoot with big vision. There’s something about the process of creating that fills me up; it's seeing beauty take shape piece by piece. This photo was the second time I took on painting/spraying kitchen cabinets.
I chose to live here because of the incredible community that surrounds me. There’s something special about being surrounded by people who care, who show up, share ideas, and support one another. The Creative Collective grew out of that love for connection - a space for photographers and creatives to come together, create and inspire each other, and give back through art and service.
